The initiative has been created through a partnership between Recolight, the specialist WEEE compliance scheme for the lighting industry, and CoBRA (Community Bulb Recycling Alliance). Recolight has increased its number of producer members by more than 20 per cent so far this year after a recruitment campaign.
Reading is to become the first place in the country to implement a new community recycling initiative that will see volunteers help to collect low-energy light bulbs for recycling.
