Saving energy

Contrac Lighting has helped reduce Stagecoach energy bills by 40 per cent thanks to the manufacture of its intelligent lighting system

The use of motion detectors and daylight will help save 230 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. It is estimated the scheme could reduce Stagecoach’s energy consumption by 40 per cent.

A successful trial resulted in Stagecoach rolling the programme out to a significant number of its depots across the UK, with Contrac being asked to look at a further 32 sites.
