For the last few years, fashion designers have made merry with the LED, incorporating the portable light source into everything from trainers to wedding dresses

So all hail milliner Piers Atkinson, who has upped the ante on his rag-trade rivals by incorporating, er, cold cathode tubes. Once you get used to the low-level buzz and weight of the control gear, you’d barely know you had a hat on.
