The second generation Fortimo LED spotlight modules now available from Philips

The Fortimo LED spotlight module (SLM) Gen 2 offers performance upgrades of up to 100 lumens per watt of the modules, improved colour consistency – up to 3 SDCM – and is also more energy efficient.

The upgraded Fortimo SLM modules will offer the following advancements:

  • High CRI up to 95 combined with tight colour consistency
  • Lumen maintenance of 70 per cent at 50khrs at 75C
  • System efficiency up to 90 lumens per watt
  • The central promise of the Philips Fortimo LED range is the constant innovation within a fixed format and includes a standardised optical interface and standardised lumen packages.

Wouter Boxhoorn, marketing manager for OEM lighting solutions, said: ‘We recognise that ease of design-in, use and maintenance are fundamental considerations for technical specifiers and manufacturers when developing luminaires.

‘These new spotlight innovations have been designed to make it less complicated to handle performance upgrades of LED modules.’

SLM comes with a wide range of electronic drivers and thermal management options, reducing cooling costs by up to 40 per cent and increasing system efficacy by up to 30 per cent.

The second generation SLM also includes an additional module range with a colour temperature of 2700K.
